Even the best artificial flowers will gather dust, but there are ways to ensure they look better for longer.

Using a feather duster across the surfaces of the plant will in fact spread the dust around the atmosphere before settling right back on the flower when you turn your back. Placing a sock/stocking over the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner set on low is a better way of removing dust as it will collect rather than redistributing it! However, handle with caution to not damage the delicate flower.

Wiping each individual leaf with a dampened cloth is also a great way of collecting dust especially in the intricate grooves and creases that make the best artificial flowers.

If your silk flowers are the ones after a clean, it is recommended to use a commercial cleaning spray as they tend to be more cost-effective and less time consuming.

Happy cleaning everyone!
