Originating from Mexico and Colombian forests, the Monstera Deliciosa is possibly one of the most favoured indoor plants. These luscious plants have outrageous growing potential, once it gets going it can be truly impressive with large, glossy heart shaped leaves which as the plant matures have the distinctive perforated and deeply cut leaves, explaining their commonly used nickname ‘Swiss Cheese Plant’. Perfect for those looking for a statement in their offices.

These particular plants tend to be supported by a moss stick as their aerial roots grow from its stems that enjoy latching onto the moss stick for support of growth as well as taking up any excess moisture. Typically this plant does not need much maintenance yet it will enjoy large amounts of dappled sunshine, however it does not like direct sunlight as it can burn its leaves.

Our top Monstera tips

  1. The Monstera is one of the hardiest plants out there, and a giant at that! These plants love lots of light but avoid direct sunlight as its leaves may crinkle and burn.
  2. When its warm we would say water once every two weeks, around a pint of water and once every two weeks for when its colder.
  3. Otherwise let the giant grow!
