Aftercare For Rental Plants  

Live Interior Plants

As a general rule we provide a fully comprehensive aftercare service. 

Once your plants have been installed we visit on a regular basis (weekly/two weekly/three weekly depending on the agreement) to ensure your plants are maintained in prime condition throughout the year.

We clean the plant and container and ensure the plant is healthy; as well as water and feed the display.  Maintenance includes checking for problems (disease and pests), ensuring compost levels are correct, pruning as required and topping up displays with fresh compost as required.  Plants are ‘Fed’ from the Spring throughout the Summer to encourage healthy growth. 

Should a plant fail or require changing we replace the plant at no additional cost above the set monthly fee.

We call this our ‘Maintenance/Replacement’ Service, and it is suitable for most installations.
 
Artificial Interior Plants
Our Maintenance service is normally based on quarterly, six monthly or annual cleans, depending on the environment.

Artificial plants need reshaping and cleaning at least annually, and if they are not inherently flame retarded, we apply new flame retardant when we clean the displays.

We sometimes need to replace damaged plants and repair rockscapes (especially in leisure pools) and all this can be achieved during a cleaning/refurbishment programme.

Exterior Maintenance
Our Maintenance service varies considerably for exterior installations.

Window Boxes

Window Boxes may well be serviced under a Maintenance/Replacement service, whereby we not only maintain the displays, but also replace failing and seasonal plants within the set agreed fee.

Normally window boxes have three or more seasonal changes, but some clients like ‘evergreen’ displays using architectural plants such as Box trees or Cordylines, and trailing Hedera (ivy) where the replacement element is lower.

We normally recommend the installation of a self-watering system on a timer for these installations and often include water retention granules and slow release fertiliser to achieve a premier planting environment.

Patios/Small Courtyards/Roof Terraces

The maintenance of these types of installation can be on a Maintenance Only or Maintenance/Replacement basis.
Again we recommend the installation of a self-watering system where possible.
